R. FRANK WEBER

Frank Weber was named to the newly-created combined position of Global Vehicle Line Executive and Global Chief Engineer for the Chevrolet Volt in March, 2007. Prior to his new assignment he was responsible for all advanced engineering activities in GM’s European Technical Centers as GME Director Advanced Concept Engineering.
Frank started his General Motors career in 1991 as a Product Engineer with the Adam Opel International Technical Development Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Subsequently, he held several leadership positions in the Product Planning and Program Management organizations, including Planning Director on the Global Mid-Size Vehicle Line. 2002 he was named GM Europe Director Program Management & Vehicle Development Process.
Before joining GM Europe he worked as an Assistant to the Professor for Automotive Engineering at the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany. Frank holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, awarded from the Technical University Darmstadt in 1990.
Frank Weber was born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1966.
He is married and has three children. |
